To everyone getting a new roof thanks to our hailstorm on 8/25/24:

Yes, you must fill out an “Application for Approval of a Proposed Improvement Plan”.

(Appendix D at end of Architectural Rules; all the needed forms are located there on the RPOA website under “Governing Documents – Architectural Rules”)

Please also look at Appendix A (copied below) to make sure that your proposed roofing materials are permitted by the RPOA rules. Others may be allowed if they are equivalent to those listed.  Note:  we are learning that some of our existing shingles are not made anymore.

Please wait until a couple months before work is estimated to begin to put in your application

Fill out the Application (D) with Description of project : “replace hail-damaged roof”.  Include the brand and type of shingle and the color (colors must be earth tones as spelled out in Section V.G. of the Architecture rules).

                Attach to your Application:

Any beneficial photos or copies of information from your roofer

Signed/dated form G (Owner indemnification), Signed/dated form F (Contractor Rules Agreement)

Check for $500 damage deposit payable to “RPOA Board”

A copy of Current Certificate of Insurance from your roofer.

Place Application (in duplicate) and attachments (one set – will not be returned) in the green incoming Architecture mail slot in mailroom or hand it to myself or Tina Herzberg).

Reach out to any of us with any questions.
