OPEN BOARD POSITIONSVOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Our community is a desirable place to live because of over 40 years of volunteer work by our current and past homeowners. Volunteer work is integral to the beauty and functioning of our community.   Our HOA dues are low in relation to the vast amount of common area and irrigation maintained in our community by volunteers.

RPOA board members serve a three-year term and many decide to serve two consecutive terms.  This year we have two board members completing their terms – Jim Prendergast, our current Treasurer and Jeanie Emigh, our current Secretary (Jeanie Emigh has served multiple times on our board – this last term because no one else volunteered).  Jim and Jeanie have done an outstanding job for our community in their respective roles and they will leave big shoes to fill.

Please consider if now might be the time for YOU to volunteer for one of the two board seats:

•      The Ranch has a diverse community of people with outstanding skillsets. There are interesting challenges ahead and we need our sharpest minds and best team players to solve them. We want to coalesce a group of people who are ready to think, learn and take bold action, and have fun while doing it.

•      Our experience shows that the board can accommodate up to three part-time owners who can participate by Zoom so many more of you are eligible to serve.

•      Five board members mean the meetings are focused and productive. We hold monthly meetings in person here at the Ranch (also possible to join via Zoom).

If we cannot get volunteers, the Board will not be able to conduct business including signing contracts such as snow removal and landscaping, which expire this year.

Please review the following information on open Board positions:

The Secretary is an officer of the RPOA as are the president and treasurer.  The secretary keeps minutes of the meetings and is in charge of the Association’s books and papers, updates the mailing address list of the Association members and posts communications and notices.

The Treasurer is responsible for Association funds and securities, keeping records and books of accounts and the preparation of all required financial data. (We currently have one resident who is interested in serving in this capacity).

Be sure to check out our bylaws for more comprehensive descriptions of roles and responsibilities and/or feel free to contact any of the current board members for more information. We look forward to sitting down and talking about the future of the RPOA with you.
